During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Manatee County Humane Society continued to offer all programs while utilizing curbside registration for safety. The funding will allow Centerstone to expand its behavioral hospital and addiction center to increase the availability of psychiatric and addiction treatment options for acutely hospitalized patients for residents of Manatee County and the surrounding region. Additionally, these funds will be used to install a new 16-pipe HDPE wastewater main pipeline to replace the existing main pipeline that transports all of the city's effluents from the island to the Manatee County wastewater treatment plant.
